PReMA CODE OF PRACTICE

The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association (PReMA) represents research-based pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies committed to advancing medical innovation, improving patient outcomes, and supporting high-quality healthcare in Thailand.

PReMA member companies conduct research and development to address unmet medical needs and bring innovative treatments to patients. In carrying out these activities, member companies are committed to promoting, marketing, selling, and distributing medicines ethically and responsibly, in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Trust lies at the heart of the PReMA Code of Practice. PReMA members are expected to act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions, with the shared goal of improving patient care, fostering confidence among stakeholders, and respecting the independence of healthcare professionals, patients, and healthcare organizations.
To strengthen and maintain this trust, the PReMA Code of Practice is guided by four core principles: Care, Fairness, Respect, and Honesty. These principles serve as the foundation for ethical decision-making and responsible engagement across all areas of business conduct.

Effective 1 July 2026, the PReMA Code of Practice, 13th Edition supersedes both the PReMA Code of Practice, 12th Edition (2019) and the Guideline for the PReMA Code of Practice, consolidating them into a single comprehensive document. All PReMA member companies are required to incorporate the provisions of this Code into their existing company policies and codes no later than 1 July 2026.
